Crocheted shawl: Paralell Bars Shawl

I crocheted this beautiful shawl for my daughter. The pattern is Annaboos´s House Paralell Bars Shawl The yarn is from a local dyer, PetrichorYarns .  The pattern was easy to follow and adjustable for any amount of yarn. The yarn is extremely soft and it was easy to crochet. This shawl will be for sure used a lot, but it maybe too hot now because it is very warm weather now here in Finland. The shawl is perfect for the cooler evenings and in the autumn at the latest.

Crochet summer shirt

I have crocheted few garments before, and I would like to do those much more. The idea for this summer shirt came to me one evening and I just started to carry out my idea. The yarn is Drops Paris which I bought while ago for a testing purposes.  I used 5 mm hook but looking the finished shirt I think that maybe hook 4.5 mm would have been better. I have to remember this when I am planning a new garment.  Maybe I should consider to do a swatch. I crocheted two pieces, the front piece has a heart and the backside is striped. Short sleeves have ruffle edge and the hem has a minor fan.  Pattern: my own Yarn: Drops Paris Hook: 5 mm
